REF:  A Dhaka Court Sunday issued arrest warrant against BNP senior vice chairman Tarrique Rahman in a graft case. It also allowed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to take help from Interpol in this connection.



Acting Judge of Dhaka-3 Special Court Mozammel Haque passed the order in response to a petition of the ACC. Earlier in the day, ACC lawyer Mosarraf Hossain Kajol filed the petition with the court seeking issuance of an arrest warrant against Tarique in English and also permission to take help of Interpol in this regard.


Tarrique Rahman is warranted accused in the case. The case was filed with Cantonment Thana on October 26 in 2009. On August 8 in 2011, charge was framed against Tarrique Rahman and his friend Gias Uddin Al Mamun in the case.
