Train robbers kill 4 in B’baria

Ref: Four passengers of a Dhaka-bound commuter train from Brahmanbaria were killed and another injured in a robber attack in Bhadugarh Kurulia rail bridge area early Thursday.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Sudu Mia, 50, of Bijoynagar upazila of the district while the identity of others could not be known yet. Read more →

Ref: JESSORE: A police official was killed and 10 people were injured in a clash between Chhatra Shibir men and law enforcers in Gohata intersection of Monirampur upazila in the district early hours of hartal.

Bomb explodes in southern district of Lebanese capital

Ref: A bomb planted under a car exploded in a southern suburb of Beirut late on Monday, a Lebanese security source said, rocking a Shi’ite Muslim area that is a stronghold of the militant group Hezbollah.
The bomb destroyed the car and damaged buildings in the residential area of Hay al-Sellom but there were no casualties, the source said. Read more →

7 female workers die in stampede

REF: Fire Services Director (Operations) Mahbubur Rahmand told the fire broke out in one ‘Smart’ factory at around 2pm and was controlled after about two hours.

The deaths were reportedly caused when they tried to rush to safety following the outbreak of fire.
