Ref: Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, Monday launched its International Video Calling capabilities on 3-G facility, said a press release.
With the newly introduced calling capacities, Airtel 3-G mobile customers in India would now be able to leverage Airtel internet on 3-G to make international video calls and interact face-to-face with their loved ones and colleagues living abroad-instantly sharing experiences and information.
While launching the service, president of the Mobile Services of Bharti Airtel Atul Bindal said, “At Airtel, it is our constant endeavor to introduce services that enrich the lives of our customers.”
He added: “As we take the lead in launching International Video Calling on 3G in India, this marks the beginning of a new era of next-generation communications in the country-one that will help mobile customers break the barrier of boundaries and instantly connect with their personal and business networks across the world.”
The chief of the service also said given the high demand for video calling services seen since the launch of Airtel 3G services, they are confident that the customers would see great value from the availability of this capability for international calls as well.
“We invite our 3 million-plus Airtel 3-G customers to enjoy this exciting experience,” said Atul Bindal.
The press release also informed that Airtel’s International Video Calling is currently available for 227 international geographies.
An Airtel 3-G customer in India can see and talk with his friends and relatives in the USA, Canada, Bangladesh, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Oman face to face through video call at a very low cost.
