BCL cadres beat up Chittagong traffic Sergeant

Ref:Chhatra League cadres beat up a traffic sergeant in front of Omor Goni MES College as he asked them to show documents of their motorbikes.

The incident took place on Zakir Hossain road under the port city’s Khulsi Thana around 11am Thursday.

Sergeant Moshiur Rahman said, ‘when I asked them for the motorcycle’s papers, seeing the name plate of Gopalganj district, Moyla Firoz and his cadres attacked me.’

The traffic sergeant said that BCL leader MD Firoz was riding the motorcycle without abiding by the law. When asked to show the papers, the local Chattra league cadre showed him the name plate of Gopalganj.

When Moshiur kept asking for the papers, Firoz along with his associates attacked the sergeant.

Police seized a motorcycle with the name- plate ‘Gopalganj HA-110468’ after raiding the Bhuiya lane.

A case is likely to be filed in this connection.

Chittagong Chhatra league’s President M R Azim told banglanews, ‘Though Firoz claimed himself as Chhatra league leader of MES College, he is neither a student nor holding any BCL post.’ Rather, he also informed, Firoz is the ringleader of the local cadres.
