One Magura arson victim dies, 5 others in critical condition

REF: One of the victims burnt in the fire-bombing of a truck in Magura has died.Five other victims burnt in the incident on Saturday night at Mogirdhal area in Magura Sadar are said to be in critical condition, doctors said.


Resident Surgeon Partha Shankar Pal said that nine victims of the arson were admitted to the burns unit of the Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) around 2:30am past midnight.

‘Solution possible if Hasina steps down’

Savar death toll over 150

REF:  Death toll in Wednesday’s tragic Rana Plaza collapse crossed 150 even as many more are trapped in the debris.

A warehouse at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has caught fire and fire fighters are working to douse the flames, fire service control room says.
“Fire erupted when cargo was being handled around 12 noon,” Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room official Abdur Rahman told on Friday noon.

“Seven fire fighting units are working to douse the flames.”

Death toll rises to 33 in B’baria tornado

Ref: BRAHMANBARIA: Death toll rose to 33 in the tornado that hit Sadar and Bijoynagar upazilas of the district recently.

One of the deceased was identified as Romchan Bibi, 50, wife of Abu Taher of Jarultola village.

The accident takes place in Gazipur’s Kaliakoir

Ref: At least three people were killed and another five injured early Friday when a train rammed into a three wheeler at Gazipur’s Kaliakoir, police said.
