Train robbers kill 4 in B’baria

Ref: Four passengers of a Dhaka-bound commuter train from Brahmanbaria were killed and another injured in a robber attack in Bhadugarh Kurulia rail bridge area early Thursday.

25 vehicles vandalised in Ctg over bus fare hike

Ref: Angry commuters vandalised at least 25 buses and local human haulers in Chittagong city on Wednesday protesting a hike in bus fare by the owners through introducing ticketing service.

Locals said the vehicles were vandalised on Bandartila, Kaptai Rastar Matha, Bahaddarhat and Iqbal Boarding roads of the port city around 8:30am, causing immense sufferings to the commuters. Read more →

Ref: Gunmen shot dead four members of the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) of Chittagong Hill Tracts, including central leader Animesh Chakma, in a fierce attack allegedly by rivals in the backwoods of Barkal upazila on Saturday morning.
