REF: In an emotional reunion, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia yesterday met all of her family members together after seven years.

Bangladesh HC clears way for trial of BNP chief Khaleda Zia

REF: The High Court yesterday directed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to surrender before a lower court within two months to face trial in the Gatco graft case.

 

The two-month countdown will begin only after the HC verdict has been received by the lower court — the Special Judge’s Court-3 of Dhaka.The HC came up with the verdict after rejecting the BNP chief’s two writ petitions that challenged the legality of filing the case and her trial in it. REF: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has arrived at the third Special Judge’s Court for a hearing of the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases.

REF : Salahuddin Ahmed, the joint secretary general of BNP who went missing for over two months, says he does not know how he surfaced in this mountainous state capital of Meghalaya on Monday morning.

EC moves to stop Khaleda’s rules ‘violation’ by using motorcade in campaign

REF: Letters carrying the directive were sent to the Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporation returning officers, EC Deputy Secretary Shamsul Alam told bdnews24.com on Friday night.
