Shane Warne announces IPL retirement

Ref: Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne has said that the ongoing season of the IPL will be his last one as a player. He is likely to be associated with Rajasthan as a coach or advisor in the future.

ICC to rethink World Cup format

Ref: Warren Deutrom, the chief executive of Cricket Ireland, believes that the the right of the Associate nations to compete at the 2015 World Cup will be established at the ICC’s annual conference in Hong Kong at the end of June.

His comments came after the board president, Sharad Pawar, requested that the tournament’s ten-team composition be reassessed in response to strong and widespread criticism of the decision to limit participation to the ten Test-playing nations.

Watson pips Shakib into 2nd position
