A competent source said the premier of the war-torn Gulf country would make a stopover in Dhaka on his way from Seoul to Baghdad.
The Iraqi PM made his first stopover here on Tuesday night while his plane was flying to Seoul from Baghdad.
The foreign minister may talk to Maliki at the VVIP lounge of the airport, the official said.
Earlier, on Tuesday night, Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain received Maliki as his plane landed at the airport.
The 61-year-old was made PM on May 20, 2006. He is now passing his second tenure as premier in the transitional period in Iraq after the nemesis of Saddam through his overthrow by the US-led western coalition forces.
