REF: Home Minister MK Alamgir categorically said legal measures would be taken against the authority of the building — Rana Plaza, if any violation of building code found after investigation.
The minister came up with the statement while visiting the spot on Wednesday afternoon.
He, however, said the collapse proved that the building was not constructed properly.
MK Alamgir said, “Besides smooth rescue operations, the government will ensure treatment and relief for the victims and their families.”
At least 70 garments workers have been found dead and 750 others injured as an 8-storied building, Rana Plaza, collapsed in Savar bus-stand area of Dhaka on Wednesday morning.
